Steve is Managing Director of BT Family Office. In his role, Steve advises ultra-high net worth families, individuals, entrepreneur’s and closely-held businesses on matters related to investment planning, coordination and oversight, family legacy, succession and philanthropy, risk management, lifestyle management and integrated wealth planning and reporting.
Prior to managing BT Family Office, Steve worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. where he led the Private Wealth Management division in the Southeast and Washington, DC regions. Under his leadership, each region achieved record asset and revenue levels. Outside of overseeing the client franchise, Steve focused his efforts on key client and prospective client relationships and retention, business strategy and market growth, community engagement and recruiting. Steve also served as Co-Head of the Division’s Institutional Client Solutions business which advised endowments, family foundations, private foundations and select pension plans.
In the earlier part of his career, Steve worked for SunTrust and American International Group, where he led large-scale strategic initiatives, such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring/re-engineering, client segmentation and three-five year strategic plans for businesses across the globe.
Steven lives in Buckhead with his wife, Melissa, and their two boys, Hudson and Tuck. They have two dogs Dakota and Georgie.
Lorrie serves as the Director for BT Family Office. Lorrie has over 20 years of consulting, operational, strategic, sales and marketing experience.
Most recently, Lorrie worked as SVP and Chief Investment Officer of Lincoln Lee Investments, a family office, working with a high net-worth family on asset allocation, alternative investments, private fund administration, estate planning and charitable giving. Prior to Lincoln Lee, she specialized in cutting edge healthcare technology with athenahealth, WebMD and Healtheon.
Lorrie received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in International Business and Accounting from The American University in Washington, DC. Lorrie and her husband, Patrick, live in Atlanta with their four children. Lorrie’s interests include education, philanthropy, soccer, cycling, and travel. Lorrie is a member of the board of a private family foundation.
Elizabeth is an Associate with BT Family Office. She focuses on aligning affluent individuals with the services needed to facilitate financial comfort. Elizabeth takes a holistic approach to understanding a family's needs so that the BT Family Office team can develop a unique plan that coincides with the overall family mission, goals and values.
Elizabeth joined BT Family Office from J.P. Morgan where she was part of a wealth management group focused on providing customized investment strategies for both institutions and individuals. Her team also advised private business owners on tax-efficient liquidity strategies. Specifically, Elizabeth became a liaison for owners of closely held businesses interested in Employee Stock Ownership Plans.
Elizabeth graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and dual minor in Management and Communications. She is licensed by FINRA with a Series 7 and 66. Outside of work, Elizabeth volunteers as a coach with Special Olympics Georgia. Originally from Alexandria, Virginia, Elizabeth enjoys running, swimming and cooking in her spare time.
Elma serves as BT Family Office’s Family Controller. She works closely with families to provide accounting, financial reporting and analysis and other services including bookkeeping, investment reporting and tax reporting assistance. Elma has a strong understanding of the financial needs of ultra-high-net worth families and provides each family with a clear, concise view of their current financial position and long-term objectives. She takes the time to get to know each family on a personal level in order to understand their specific goals and ensure their continued financial success.
Elma started her career in public accounting with HLB Gross Collins, P. C., where she served a broad range of multinational and international clients across a variety of industries. She has extensive experience in managing and performing audit engagements, preparing financial statements and providing guidance to clients on other accounting and financial reporting issues.
Elma previously served as a Fund Accounting Manager at Trident Trust, where she was responsible for accounting, financial reporting, investor reporting and onboarding processes for private equity funds.
Elma received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Kennesaw State University. She speaks fluent Croatian and Bosnian and is proficient in German. She enjoys hiking, cycling, traveling and spending time with her family.
John serves as the Head of Strategic Relationships for BT Family Office. John works to develop partnerships with ultra high-net-worth families by connecting them with vetted organizations such as investment companies, insurance providers, legal counsel, wealth advisors and other service providers that Family Offices may require.
With more than 15 years of private equity experience, John has access to a broad spectrum of companies within M&A industries including investment banking, private equity, valuation, insurance, and legal teams. Prior to joining BT Family Office, John worked in M&A as a CPA for over 20 years.
John lives in Buckhead with his wife, Leigh, and their son, Chip.
